When we decided to adopt before Sophia was born, we did the Special Needs child route. I don't know if this is available in Utah. Basically, we were going to adopt a child who was a ward of the county (foster child). Special needs did not necessarily mean that the child had a disability. The cost of adoption was free, but a lot of paperwork involved. Which adoption are you guys looking into?
ReplyDeleteWe are looking for an infant adoption for our first, but plan to become a foster home after our first. We'll see where this journey takes us.
